What should you expect if you visit Casper Art Walk?

There will be photography and art exhibitions, live music, author talks, movie screenings, food, booze and more.

And that’s just the first month. The downtown galleries plan to hold art walks on the first Thursday of every month through year’s end.

“It just a great way to get the community involved in the arts and give artists a place to show what they are working on,” said Scarlow's Gallery owner Claire Marlow, who’s helping to organize the walks.

Yellowstone Garage will host live music by the Sharp Five Blues Band. Art 321, the new home of the Casper Artists’ Guild, will premiere three new exhibitions. And the advertising firm Adbay will screen Wyoming films.

“You can pick a point to start and walk from business to business,” Marlow said. “You have art on the walls. You have art for sale. There will be food trucks down Second Street. A couple (of businesses) will have drinks for sale.”
