It was no doubt a horrifying accident. Incredibly, a driver was uninjured after his car missed a curve and plunged down Casper Mountain.

Wyoming Highway Patrol Lieutenant Chris Schell says it appears the vehicle was just going too fast for a curve near Lookout Point, lost control and went over the edge, and down the mountain.

Schell says the car couldn't be recovered until the next day, but medical technicians checked out the driver and he was unhurt, and not taken to the hospital.

The car didn't fare so well, and is probably totaled.
