Longtime AC/DC singer Brian Johnson is set to host a new online radio program called The Producers. As the name implies, Johnson will explore the lives and work of some of rock's best-known producers, including Roy Thomas Baker, Bob Rock and Nick Raskulinecz, among others.

The show, which will air Sundays on Planet Rock, is Johnson's first major music-related project since retiring from onstage performances because of a serious hearing issue.

“Having been fortunate to work alongside some of the best producers in rock, it’s great to be part of this show with Planet Rock,” Johnson said in a news release. “To be able to shine a light on how a producer captures a moment in the studio and turns it into rock 'n' roll dynamite, is great. Being able to listen to these guys talk about what they do best is a joy."

Johnson, who joins Alice Cooper and Def Leppard's Joe Elliott as part of Planet Rock's online stations, recorded 10 albums with AC/DC between 1980's blockbuster Back in Black and 2014's Rock or Bust.

“The quality of rock producers that we interviewed required a series host with rock credibility and an in depth understanding of how producers work with bands to create a distinct sound," said Planet Rock's Ric Blaxill. “Brian is without doubt the perfect person to host the series with his incredible experience as a musician, and as one of rock's most distinctive vocalists ever."
