[UPDATE] Lockdown Lifted At Kelly Walsh High School, Pineview, Woods Learning Center
UPDATE 1:00 p.m. The Casper Police Department reports that today’s incident began around 11:00 a.m., following reports of two male suspects with a gun near Kelly Walsh High School. One suspect was apprehended immediately, but the other tried to flee, prompting the request for the lockdown. The other suspect was taken into custody a short time later, and officers report recovering a BB gun. According to police officials, they don’t believe the incident was school-related. The Casper Police Department is continuing its investigation.
UPDATE- 11:29 a.m. – Natrona County School District Officials say the lockdown has been lifted. The lockdown of Kelly Walsh, Pineview and Woods was initiated as a precaution at the request of the Casper Police Department, as officers searched the nearby area for two armed suspects. The suspects have since been apprehended. District officials say all children and staff are safe at all schools.
