With the first weekend of Autumn comes beautiful colors, equal days and nights, a bit of wind, rain, possible snow at elevation and  the return of Wyoming’s natural blessings to the locals now that the tourist season is over.

Wyoming features world class fishing and right now, some of the best fishing of the year is happening across the state. But for right now we’ll focus on the North Platte River where the fishing is good to great, according to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle.

Moss and other submerged vegetation will keep your lures working from the shore, wading or boating. Reports of success include the use of Panther Martins, Trico spinners, San Juan worms and Scuds.

Of course, the draw of the wilds of Wyoming featured in the above video from Grey Reef Anglers should be ample inspiration, but I thought I'd include a personal favorite to get you into the proper frame of mind.
