Beneficial Moisture Still in the Forecast
With the exception of the northwest corner, the day started out with bountiful sunshine across the state. Clouds will move in and thicken up as the day wears on and with that there will be a chance for scattered showers once again. A slow moving Pacific weather system is the source of the much needed precipitation. Western, southern and central portions of the state will be in the best position for the showers later today and tonight. Overnight into early Wednesday morning there may be some areas of patchy fog in the southeast.
Speaking of Wednesday, moisture drifting in from the south will bring additional chances for scattered showers to the state. The showers will start to drift further east on Thursday.
Temperatures will stay mild and top off in the 60s and 70s. Lows will be mainly in the upper 30s and 40s.
