It seems that as summer turns into autumn, marriage fever hit’s a fever pitch, no pun intended. Brides seem to get an itch that can only be scratched by doing lots and lots of wedding shopping. Luckily for brides in Casper, they are covered. This is because for the past three years, the Wolcott Galleria has sponsored a Bridal Walk in downtown Casper.
Living in Wyoming, we are afforded many opportunities to experience sheer serenity. One of the best places to experience utter tranquility is Casper Mountain, and on Saturday the sounds of fall were upon us. Birds were singing, the wind was rustling leaves, and humans were screaming for their lives. That’s because on this day, Casper Mountain was overrun with terrifying flesh-eating Zombies, all in the name of charity.
When I was young, I always wanted to be Batman. He was absolutely the coolest guy. I realized, very shortly, that it was basically impossible to be Batman. For some reason, however, I still always daydream about being certain movie characters. Whether it’s because they’re super cool, super tough, or get to save super hot girls; anytime I watch a movie I take at least a few minutes to pretend that I’m the main character. I always thought that Labor Day was one of the most ironic holidays in American history. This was simply due to the fact that I never really knew what the point of Labor Day actually was. Because of this, I thought it to be funny that we all got a day off on Labor Day. A simple Google search revealed that Labor Day is actually a celebration of us- the American working man, or woman. It’s our country acknowledging the fact that we work hard, and deserve an extra day off each year.

On Monday, WWE celebrated a milestone event with it's 1000 episode of WWE Raw. A host of WWE superstars, past and present, were on hand to celebrate this achievement. Also on hand was WWE's 'Social Media Ambassador,' Charlie Sheen. Sheen appeared via Skype (hence the "Social Media Ambassador' title) and offered his thoughts throughout the show. After being insulted by former World Champion Daniel Bryan, Charlie took to his computer and issued what looked like a challenge.

Admittedly, I’m not much of an animal lover. I love my dog, my sister’s dog, and my girlfriend’s mother (Huzzah!). Other than that, animals don’t really do anything for me. That being said, when I came across the petting zoo at the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo, I was like a little kid.
The Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo is back and if opening weekend is any indication, it’s bigger,badder, and better than ever! With numerous rides, games, displays, prizes and choices of food, the CWFR continues to prove why it is the destination hot spot for Casper in July. People of all ages came out to the CWFR on opening weekend, as these pictures can attest to. And one thing can be certain- fun was had by all.
As a kid in Casper Wyoming, our summers revolved around two things- the pool and the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo. So imagine my delight when, one summer when I was 13 years old, I was able to combine the two with my other favorite thing ever- a girl. This is the story of that day.
