Remember in like, the 50's, when movies would come out that would show scientists meddling with something they had no business meddling with? Wise old men would warn them not to, but they would do it anyway, and then a monster would be accidentally created and would destroy the world until some good looking James-Stewart-type would figure out how to stop it? Well, on this day in 1997 we, and by we I mean Scottish scientists, cloned a sheep.
The 19th Annual API Chili Cook-Off, held at the Casper Events Center, was one for the ages. Over 45 different kinds of chili were offered, not to mention the fact that nascar tickets, guns, and even cash prizes were offered in the raffle portion of the afternoon. It was all very Wyomingish, in the best sense of the word.
In music, there are very few bands that define a generation. The Beatles, Nirvana, and Miley Cyrus are some of the only ones. There is one band, however, that stands head and pony tail above the rest, and that band....is....KISSSSS.
Music has been, and always will be, one of the most important things in the world. Music draws people together. It creates bonds that no man can break. Music has started and ended wars. It has created marriages. It has inspired generations after generations after generations.
Mmk so, unless you're Canadian, hockey isn't THAT huge of a deal to you. You'll watch it if it's on and nothing else is, but other than that...meh. Ever wonder why we call today Valentine's Day? Probably not. You're probably too stressed because you forgot to buy your wife and/or girlfriend the perfect gift. So then you went and bought something. But then you realized that the card and the butterfinger probably weren't going to cut it. So you're trying to think of something else. But don't stress! Chess has always been a thinking man's game. It involves strategy, forethought, and a certain degree of risk-taking. If your pawn tries to take the queen and it backfires, ooooh boy. Watch out. Worlds will collide. Chess has also always been a gentleman's game. That's why, when a gentleman lost a chess game to a computer, the proverbial "stuff" hit the fan.
The Rolling Stones are, arguably, one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time. Concerts, television appearances, record sales, and of course, lots and lots of women- The Stones led the way in them all, truly leaving no stone unturned.
