As news continues to pour in regarding the fire on Casper Mountain, Casper residents have taken it upon themselves to shoot and post photos of the fire to the Facebook page of our Casper Firefighters. News and photos will continually be updated, as our firefighters attempt to put out this massive fire.
It seems as though the producers of American Idol, as well as the city of Casper have thought of everything when it comes to their Audition going off without a hitch. This includes making sure local vendors are on hand to offer food and drink to aspiring idols. Here is an interview with Herbadashery, about what it’s like to cater American Idol.
Any time you have a huge group of people, like the one at Fort Caspar who are auditioning for American Idol, safety is always an issue. Luckily, the Casper PD are great at their jobs and have thought of every scenario that could, but probably won’t, happen at the auditions here today. Here’s Officer Tremble on the safety precautions the CPD have taken to make sure everything goes off without a hitch.
One of the bright parts of American Idol has always been the host of…unique…characters that audition for the granddaddy of musical reality shows. So when AI came to Casper, we were sure that we would see at least a few of these types of people. Luckily, we were right. As facts continue to fly in about the life of 24-year-old Dark Knight Shooter James Holmes, people are taking to their Facebook pages to find out all they can about the alleged mass murderer. Unfortunately, those who share the same name as Holmes are being accosted and accused via their FB pages.
There is still much more to learn about the shooting that took place in Aurora, Colorado at the premiere of “The Dark Knight Rises”, but people are quickly forming opinions on what happened on that ‘dark night.’ Here are some reaction interviews with various members of the Casper community.
Now that the CWFR has come and gone, we thought it would behoove us to “take to the streets” and find out what YOU thought of the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo. Here’s what we learned: People love The Power, adults are more shy than kids, and bulls are A-holes. Don’t believe us? Check out these vids and let us know what YOU loved about the CWFR.
Mmm. Fair food is my absolute favorite kind of food in the world. I spent the entire week at the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo, and ate an inordinate amount of fair food. I ate burgers, and hot dogs, and corn dogs, and bbq, and funnel cake, and curly fries and ice cream. It was the greatest week of my life. Here are some pictures.
All my life, I’ve wanted to be a carnival worker (carnie, for short). I’m not exactly sure why- maybe it’s the art of the sell, or the allure of taking people’s money because they’re too stupid to stop playing. Maybe I just like cat-calling people. Whatever the reason, I’ve always wanted to be one. That will never happen, so I resigned myself to just meeting a few of them at this year’s Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo.
It’s been a wild ride at the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo, and we totally intended for that pun. This is because the Rodeo part of the CWFR has been a roller coaster (or a bull ride?) of emotions. There were winners, losers, dreams chases, dreams realized, and dreams crushed as men and women put i all on the line for their shot at glory. Here are just a few photos from the CWFR Finals.
It’s been a heckuva week for the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo. All sorts of people came out to ride rides, eat good (but not good for you) food, throw up on their friends, watch the rodeo and more. Here are some pics from the final night of the CWFR.
