Throw some new tallies on both sides of the ‘Arrested Development‘ season 4 board? Last night, the once and future ‘Arrested Development’ star Will Arnett dropped by ‘Conan‘ in promotion of NBC’s ‘Up All Night,’ but couldn’t resist sharing a few secrets of the upcoming ‘Arrested Development’ reunion, particularly with two of his cast-mates sitting beside him! That’s right, not only will Andy Richter return for the revival, but his late night boss Conan O’Brien will put in an appearance as well!
With ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ still going fairly strong and Shonda Rhimes’ other ABC drama ‘Scandal‘ steadily picking up speed, there were bound to be casualties, particularly from the lowest rated of the bunch. And while we knew ‘Private Practice‘ could come to an end when series lead Kate Walsh departs in episode 13, the show’s creator has offically confirmed the news. Find out what Rhimes has to say about the cancellation inside!
Very sad news to report this morning, particularly sad for fans of FX’s motorcycle drama ‘Sons of Anarchy,’ as we’ve just learned that one-time series star Johnny Lewis has died under somewhat mysterious circumstances. The actor was known to play Kip “Half-Sack” eps on the first two seasons of the hit biker series, before requesting to be released from his contract, which ‘Sons of Anarchy’ creator Kurt Sutter obliged by killing off the character.
Could Mork be headed back to Earth? It seems Robin Williams’ bite from the TV acting bug might have been bigger than his recent ‘Louie‘ and ‘Wilfred‘ appearances, as the legendary funnyman may have his eye on a new gig at CBS. But what could have lured Williams back to a regular role after over 30 years off the tube, and why does the project have ‘Mad Men‘s Don Draper feeling a shiver up his spine?
When enough stars leave a series, you’d think it might be time to throw in the towel. ‘The Office‘ doesn’t seem to be able to take the hint, but now ‘Grey’s Anatomy‘ is about to amputate its arguably most well-received leading man. No, don’t worry, Patrick Dempsey will still be around, but Seattle Grace Hospital is about to lose some serious steam when Eric Dane leaves the series for ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9. But will his exit be addressed?
Sheesh, is it that time again? Not only do we have to choose some kind of leader of the free world over the next few months, but it seems like forever since the last time we got any fresh ‘Saturday Night Live‘ scoop. Well, wait no longer! ‘SNL’ will of course be back this fall, airing not one, but two fresh election specials chronicling the media circus of the next race! But when will the specials air?
As if it isn’t a big enough shock to the system to watch heavier episodes of ‘Breaking Bad,’ followed by Bryan Cranston‘s lighter work, so too does Aaron Paul’s past body of work provide endless fodder to measure against Jesse Pinkman. We’ve already seen what happens when Jesse Pinkman craves either Corn Pops or Juicy Fruit, but how would he handle himself against Bob Barker on ‘The Price is Right?’
Well, there but for the grace of GOB go they. The 2012 Emmy nominations are out, and with them the usual squabbling over under-appreciated gems and the series that the academy seems to vomit awards upon without any inking of whether or not they deserve it. Of course, some of the nominations are well deserved, and others pleasantly surprising, so who’s causing the biggest stir among TV viewers this year?
Whether or not you followed the first season of ‘Once Upon A Time,’ you should know that the hit ABC series delves into quite a bit of classic fairy tale mythology, everything from traditional Grimm to an overload of Disney characters. Now, following the Comic-Con 2012 reveal that the Storybrooke characters could take a trip to Neverland, might someone be headed over the rainbow as well?
We all know that ‘The Office‘ is going to look pretty different next year, what with Mindy Kaling and James Spader departing, Paul Lieberstein stepping down as show-runner, Ed Helms, John Krasinski and B.J. Novak all taking on reduced roles, and Dwight potentially spinning off, but who’s going to actually join the ensemble? We also knew that Catherine Tate would join ‘The Office’ season 9 as a new series regular, but the latest reported to join Dunder-Mifflin is a pretty ‘Kick-Ass‘ former ‘Greek’ star.
Well, lets be honest. When was the last time you saw Jerry O’Connell, and didn’t feel like chasing him with pitchforks and fire? NBC’s reboot of ‘The Munsters,’ titled ‘Mockingbird Lane‘ has made another step (or lurch) closer to the real deal, as the family’s patriarch not has a face. Or, at the very least, one cobbled together from other faces.
At this point, there are probably more question marks than musical notes when it comes to ‘Glee‘s somewhat re-inventive fourth season. We do know that half the focus will move to New York City to follow Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), and presumably at least Santana (Naya Rivera), with the rest of the story taking place in good old Lima, Ohio. So if that’s the case, what new faces might we see next season?
