The Wyoming Cowboys notched back-to-back wins for the first time this season with a 28-23 win over New Mexico on Saturday. Brett Smith passed for a career-best 374 yards and threw four touchdowns to get the Pokes their first win in Albuquerque since 2006.

Cowgirl basketball fans got their first glimpse of the 2012-13 women’s basketball team on Monday night as the Cowgirls beat Dakota Wesleyan University in an exhibition game, 78-53, in the Arena Auditorium.

The University of Wyoming football team is off to an 0-3 start in 2012 after losing to Cal Poly 24-22 on Saturday in Laramie. It is UW’s first loss to a Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) team.
