The 15th annual "Bowl for Jason's Friends" was another great example of the Casper community coming together for a great cause. Thousands of people came to El Marko Lanes to bowl and show their support for the Jason's Friends cause. Many great items were available to bid on in the silent auction, with all proceeds going to benefit Jason's Friends. "Bowl For Jason's Friends" brings out the charity and compassion of Casper residents every year.
Saint Patrick's Day, also known as Feast of Saint Patrick, was officially established in Ireland in the 17th century as a day of feast. The holiday eventually made its way across the ocean to be celebrated in the U.S. Wearing green, eating corned beef and cabbage, and of course drinking alcohol is the standard way for Americans to celebrate this holiday. However, many folks skip the feasting part and go straight for the booze. Which is why I have compiled the list of best bars in Casper to go drinking on St. Patrick's Day.
Fans of all ages gathered Thursday night at the Casper College T-bird gym to cheer on their favorite team and athletes. The 2013 Peach Basket showcased the best talent NCHS and KWHS had to offer in this annual friendly rivalry game
Internet giant Google is giving us a glimpse of the future, through our own eyes. Project Glass offers an augmented reality experience through a lightweight headset. Even though Project Glass is still in it's testing stages, some lucky enthusiasts will get the opportunity to test out these future-tech glasses for the low price of $1500, if accepted.
As the old saying goes, "another man's junk is another man's treasure". That being said, its time for you to practicing up on your haggling skills for the 2013 Spring Super Garage Sale on Saturday March 23rd.
Social media dominates a good portion of many people's daily lives. Checking up on friend's activities online is something most Americans do few times a day. The ever evolving world of social media now lets us share photos and statuses to spread an idea at lightning speed. Occasionally you will be asked to share something in efforts to help raise awareness or improve the well being of individuals and groups. How can you be sure the idea you are passing to your friends and family isn't a total lie?
The Harlem Shake has taken the world by storm. It's reach cannot be contained, even if tried. The Harlem Shake has even invaded Wyoming. Although not the first outbreak, it seems the crew of 'Today in Wyoming' has now been bitten by the infectious craze.
Casper's residential areas have no doubt seen an increase in traffic in the past few years. Expanding business parks, a steady growing population, and congested main streets have pushed more traffic to the residential areas. Despite this surge, I still notice a lot of "4-way-go" intersections where accidents are impending everyday. Does Casper need more residential stops signs?
Today I came across a video on YouTube of a skateboarder doing a back flip down a set of stairs. It was a short, impressive little video no more than 30 seconds in length. The trick this dude lands was remarkable, but the real astonishing part wasn't even in the video. It was in the comments section.
