After a couple of toasty days in the Cowboy State, temperatures will cool off and return to more comfortable levels today and Wednesday. A passing cold front will bring in somewhat cooler temperatures today with highs in the 50s to near 60 in the mountains and mid 70s and 80s in the lower elevations. Tomorrow’s daytime high
Scattered afternoon and evening strong to severe thunderstorms will be found across eastern Wyoming today. Heavy rain, large hail and very strong winds will be possible with any strong to severe thunderstorms.
Weather conditions across the Cowboy state will be very pleasant for today and Friday. Winds will be breezy, skies mostly sunny and temperatures near normal. Widely scattered thunderstorms are possible in the southeast today.
Weather conditions today will be warm and dry across Wyoming. Smoky skies can be expected once again in southeastern Wyoming. Thursday looks to be warm and breezy with conditions generally dry across much of the state.
The atmosphere is starting to dry out across the state, but that does not mean a completely dry forecast. Isolated thunderstorms are still expected on the eastern plains. The threat for severe weather is much less today, but be aware that around thunderstorms strong, gusty winds, frequent lightning and hail are all possible.

Late today and tonight southeastern Wyoming will have a good chance of strong and possibly severe thunderstorm activity. Large hail, heavy rain and damaging winds will be possible from most any thunderstorm.
Winds will be strong and gusty across nearly all of Wyoming. Gusts though in central, western and southern Wyoming will be especially strong and as high as 60 mph or more at times. Turning cooler west to east today with widely scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms as well.
