Cloud cover will be decreasing west to east today across the Cowboy State. We will see a continuing chance of some shower and thunderstorm activity, especially in the south and east. High pressure will build over the state and region on Tuesday.
Milder temperatures will be found across Wyoming today, but especially so for the eastern half of the state. Cloud cover will also linger across much of eastern Wyoming through the afternoon. Sunshine returns to the state for Friday and the weekend.
A fairly strong cold front is starting to work its way through the state. Clouds, wind and developing showers and thunderstorms will spread through northern and central Wyoming through this afternoon along the front.
There will be plenty of sun, heat and wind to go around the state today. All of this and a low relative humidity will lead to very high to extreme fire dangers in many areas. A good portion of the state is under a Red Flag Warning through 8pm
Today and Tuesday will be settled on the weather front across much of the state. Other than a few small, isolated thunderstorms in the state’s mountains, most areas will be on the dry side for the next two days.

Strong high pressure over the Rocky Mountain West will keep temperatures throughout Wyoming well above normal. This trend will continue through at least Thursday. There is a chance that come Friday and Saturday temperatures will cool a little for the eastern half of the state with thunderstorm chances also increasing at the same time.
