The wind has finally taken a break across the state. It will be a bit on the breezy side in the central and southern portions of the state later today, but it will not be nearly as windy as it has been.
Skies will be mostly cloudy across much of the Cowboy state today but conditions look to remain mostly dry. Temperatures today will be above average as well. While winds will be breezy, winds will not be nearly as strong and gusty today and Tuesday as the last few days.
The exiting cold front has left behind cooler temperatures across the state in addition to a little more light snow in the southeast. For the most part, though, today’s weather will be mainly dry statewide.
Snow will start to fall in northwest and western Wyoming later today as a cold front starts to move in. Further east, it will be a mild but breezy January day. The strongest winds will be found in the southeast along I-80.
The wind has started to pick up in portions of the state. These mainly west to southwest winds are also making for warmer temperatures statewide. High Wind Warnings are posted for northern and southern portions of the state. Wind will gust up to 60 mph in the warning
The scattered snow showers that moved through state very early Wednesday have pushed off to the east. Other than a few additional light snow showers or flurries in the northwest, the day will be mainly dry and cool statewide.

The parade of Pacific storms across the Rocky Mountain West will continue on Tuesday as another storm system will traverse the Continental Divide on Tuesday. Snow will develop in the far western mountains and valleys tonight and will spread east onto the plains of central Wyoming by early Tuesday. W
A winter storm will impact all of Wyoming today and into Wednesday morning. Poor travel weather will develop rapidly today and cold air filters in from the north and changes rain to all snow across central, southern and eastern Wyoming. S
Winter storm watches have been posted for many areas of southeastern and southcentral Wyoming for late Tuesday through Wednesday. A strong Pacific cold front and storm system will plow into Wyoming on Tuesday. T
Expect a fair amount of mid and high level cloudiness today along mild temperatures and brisk winds. The only chance for showers today in be in the far west and northwest. Windy and mild conditions are expected statewide on Saturday with a few showers in the far north and west. A
Other than some clouds and a few showers up and over and near Yellowstone Park, expect sunny skies and mild October temperatures over the state. Windy conditions will be common in the central, south and east as winds of 15 to 35 mph with higher gusts will be possible. G
