If you feel like you need to lose a few pounds, you are certainly not alone.

According to a survey of 2001 adults between the ages of 18 and 64 by Yahoo! and Fitness Magazine, 74 percent are not currently at their ideal weight.

Furthermore, 44 percent of women and 38 percent men answered that they would be happier, in general, if they could shed pounds.

Eighteen percent percent believe their love life would be better at their ideal weight, seven percent believe they would make more money, and five percent think it would lead to more friends.

Among women, 58 percent said they would need to lose 10 to 20 pounds to reach their ideal weight.
