We’ve all grown up knowing that having a black cat cross your path will result in bad luck. The questions is, why do we believe this? You can blame the early Christians…

In the Pagan religion, black cats were actually considered good luck. They had a variety of reasons for this belief (click here to see more).

Then the Christians came…

Once the Christians and Pagans started feuding, the Christians tried to do away with anything the heathen Pagans believed in. If Pagans believed that a black cat would bring one good luck, then, obviously, it would bring you bad luck – because Pagans were devil worshipers, and everything they did was an abomination. These were also the same people who knew that the world was flat…Weird times.
