Once again temperatures will be very warm and run at above average levels across much of the state today.  Casper will see highs in the mid 70s to near 80 this afternoon.  Only a few small, gusty thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening.

The ridge of high pressure that has been dominating our weather for the past several days will start to break down on Thursday.   With more moisture around, there will be better chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms statewide.

A cold front crosses the state late Thursday into early Friday.  Friday will feature much cooler temperatures with scattered showers.  Central Wyoming will see lighter, more isolated shower activity.  Highs in Casper will only make the 50s.

Overnight Friday into Saturday morning, it may get cool enough for a rain/snow mix or some wet snow in the state’s mountains.
