The toxicology report from Amy Winehouse’s autopsy is in.

Chris Goodman, the Winehouse family spokesman, released a statement saying, “Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death. Results indicate that alcohol was present, but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death. The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest in October.”

Amy’s dad Mitch has often said the British soul singer had long since cleaned up the illegal drug habit that derailed her career, but that she still had a serious drinking problem at the time of her death.

Winehouse, the Grammy Award-winning songstress known for hits such as ‘Rehab,’ died in her London home on July 23. She was 27 years old.
