The Allman Brothers Band aren't just rescheduling four missed shows from a recent Beacon Theatre residency, they're planning on at least two more for a total of six this fall.

Dates and times are still pending for these concerts.

Gregg Allman had to pull out of the final quartet of Beacon appearances last March after a bout of bronchitis. He tells Radio.com they hope to return to the venue in October -- "and we’re adding two, so it will be a Friday and a Saturday, a Tuesday and a Wednesday, and another Friday and another Saturday. So it will be two weekends, and two shows in the middle."

These two additional shows would replace proposed concert dates at Madison Square Garden, earlier mentioned as a possibility by ABB drummer Butch Trucks. "We decided that’s a bad idea," Allman says. "Of all the big rooms, that one’s got the best sound, but nothing sounds like the Beacon."

The Allman Brothers Band, after finding out that they will soon be losing two key recent members in Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks, had suggested that this would be their final tour. Allman now insists, however, that they are not breaking up.
