With election day just around the corner, officials say absentee voting in Natrona County so far is heavier than than any election in recent memory. and that may translate to long lines at the polls.

"If our absentee voting is any indication of how it's going to go, it's going to be very heavy in the polls," says Natrona County Clerk Renea Vitto. "We have requests for about 7,400 absentee ballots and close to 6,000 of those are back. And that
is amazing, this is bigger than we've seen for any election."

Vitto says you can cast and absentee ballot at her office through November 7th.
and if you haven't voted recently, she reminds the public that some polling places have been consolidated and are no longer at the schools.
"Anyone who had a polling place in any of the schools in wards one, two or three, those polling locations are either at Restoration Church, or at the Fairgrounds in the Industrial building," She says. "Wards One and Two are the Industrial Building, and Ward Three is Restoration Church."
If you need more information, you can call the Natrona County Clerks office at (307) 235-9243 or check out their website, which has a polling place finder. "Once they enter their address it will tell them their polling place, it will even show them an absentee ballot, the ballot their going to vote when they get to their polling place." Vitto says. "It will show them who their legislators are, who their councilmen are that they're voting for."
If you're not registered yet, you can register at the polls on Election day.
