A More Annoying Facebook

Flickr rishibando

Facebook may start shoving 15 second video ads at you right in your news feed, whether you want them or not, according to Bloomberg.

While their other ads are already choking out your friend’s posts & pictures, these new ads could cost advertisers up to $2.5M per day depending on how many members are being targeted. That kind of money is usually reserved for SuperBowl ads, but Fb has about 3 times the audience, on a daily basis.

After seeing targeted ads pushed at me after searching for microphones, I hope you never search for hemorrhoid cream or porn. It could get real awkward next time you check your feed with someone next to you.

Mark Zuckerberg is said to be weighing the effects of the ads on the member experience. Right.
