In case you missed it, yesterday was Middle Name Pride Day.  Over the years, there's been many rock stars who were so proud of their middle names, they incorporated them into their stage names.

For example, James Paul McCartney goes by his middle name. Legendary Rush singer and bassist Gary Lee Weinrib changed him name to Geddy Lee. Motley Crue's Tommy Lee doesn't play bass, but his real name is Tommy Lee Bass. And the late, great Paul Revere from Paul Revere & the Raiders was actually born Paul Revere Dick.

In honor of Middle Name Pride Day, here's a list of the 5 Weirdest Middle Names in rock music history:

5.  Dick "Wagstaff" Clark - The legendary American Bandstand host was born Richard Augustus Wagstaff Clark.

4.  Iggy "Newell" Pop - The iconic punk rock pioneer was born James Newell Osterberg, Jr.

3. Bob "Zenon" Geldof - The Live Aid founder and star of "Pink Floyd's The Wall" was born Robert Frederick Zenon Gelfof.

2. Elton "Hercules" John - This Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was born Reginald Kenneth Dwight, before officially changing his name to Elton Hercules John in the 70's.  He later added the title "Sir" to his name after being knighted by the Queen of England in 1998.

1. Eddie "Lodewijk" Van Halen - Edward Van Halen's middle name was a tribute to the famed composer Ludwig van Beethoven. Eddie was born in the Netherlands, where Lodewijk is the Dutch version of Ludwig.  Van Halen continued the family tradition when he named his son Wolfgang in honor of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
