The wind has been blamed for mental health issues, high divorce rates, and bad hair days. However, Wyoming and the wind are best friends. You couldn’t separate them if you tried. It carves the landscape. It blows the snow into drifts that engulf cars. Like a wild adolescent, it knocks your trash can over and rolls it down the street.

Dealing with the wind is something you have to adapt to. Women often put up their hair. You hang on to the car door while opening it, so the wind won't blow the door off the hinge. It’s the little things like making sure you anchor small dogs to something sturdy so they don’t blow away.
